The semis cast can be completed on Sunday, depending on UP’s performance.
A win by UP, running fifth with a 6-6 win-loss record, will keep its semis hopes alive.
A loss, however, will mean elimination for UP and semifinal spots to third-running Far Eastern University and University of Santo Tomas, who battle in the 4 p.m. match.
FEU and UST have identical 8-4 win-loss recordsand the winner on Sunday will secure a semis spot.
To force a playoff for the No. 4 spot, UP must sweep its last two matches and hope that the loser of the FEU-UST match falter in its last elimination game.
The Lady Tamaraws and Tigresses are eager to win this crucial match to stay in hunt for a twice-to-beat advantage.
FEU won over UST in four sets in the first-round when Milena Alessandrini suffered her season-ending knee injury.
