NATIONAL U has had enough of losing to teams at the bottom half of the UAAP Season 87 standings.
The Lady Bulldogs got back into their groove with much thanks to winless University of the East, 25-8, 25-22, 25-12, in the continuation of the women’s volleyball tournament on Wednesday at the Philsports Arena.
It was a fitting response to a stunning four-set upset at the hands of Adamson super rookie Shaina Nitura and the rest of the 4-7 Lady Falcons three days ago.
National U's tenth win of the season meant that it's now just a win away from securing the first twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four.
Still without an ailing Alyssa Solomon, who suffered a minor left ankle sprain in training last week, reigning MVP Bella Belen delivered the goods for the defending champions with an all-around 16 points, 13 digs, and seven receptions.

Nigerian opposite hitter Aishat Bello filled in for Solomon with a promising nine-piece along with four digs.
Meanwhile, the Lady Warriors remained dead-last in the team standings as the only team without a win through 12 tries.
They had no player hitting double-figures. as their leading scorers in Khy Cepada and Van Bangayan only scored six and five, respectively.
