SHAINA Nitura ran roughshod on whoever Far Eastern University had in front of her in the middle of the Mall of Asia Arena.
In all, however, it was the Lady Tamaraws who ran wild all over Adamson, 23-25, 25-15, 25-13, 25-10 to stretch their win run to three in the UAAP Season 87 women’s volleyball tournament on Saturday.
Morayta’s veterans took over from an early one-set deficit, as Gerz Petallo fired a 14-point, 15-reception double-double, while Jean Asis had 14 points on six attacks, five aces and three blocks.

From here on out, Petallo hopes the Lady Tamaraws can live up to their 'Be Brave' mantra as consistently as possible to maintain their stature as an emerging title contender.
"Minsan kasi nawawala, yung tapang pa, lalo na sa mga endgame," Petallo said.
"Yun lang kailangan naming i-develop sa sarili namin kasi minsan bumibitaw pero unti-unti, nakukuha na namin yung pacing ng team mismo. NabI-build na namin ‘yun sa sarili namin and kitang-kita namin kasi handang duluhan, walang sukuan, lahat lumalaban."
The green-and-gold took solo third-place at 4-2 ahead of its first-round finale against La Salle next week.
FEU sends Adamson skidding
Now at 2-3, the Lady Falcons dropped back-to-back games for the first time this season, as they were unable to make amends for a prior four-set loss to University of Santo Tomas.
Super rookie Nitura was one dig shy of a triple-double with 24 points, 13 receptions and nine digs. Nigerian newcomer Frances Mordi hit a hat-trick of double-figures with 12 points, 17 receptions, and 11 digs.
