FAR Eastern University went on its first win run in UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament after goring University of the East in straight sets, 25-23, 25-19, and 25-20, Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The Lady Tamaraws actually stumbled out of the gate before overturning a 1-4 deficit with Chenie Tagaod and Aly Devosora showing the way.

Tagaod wound up with 11 points all on attacks, as Devosora chimed in nine markers of her own, built on three blocks. Playmaker Tin Ubaldo orchestrated their offense with 13 excellent sets, with Gerz Petallo topping the scoring column with 12 points, with all but one coming from attacks.

Head coach Tina Salak, however, still saw much room for improvement for her wards, especially with face-offs against resurgent Adamson and traditional power La Salle on the horizon.
"Sobrang malaking preparation din 'to sa mga upcoming games namin. Gusto pa namin i-improve pa yung mga kulang namin today kasi marami pa ring lapses," she said, zooming in on their slow start to the match.
On the other hand, for the fifth time in a row, a breakthrough triumph continued to elude the Lady Warriors.
Khy Cepada and Van Bangayan paced their latest losing effort each with 14 points.
