NOT long after being given a straight-sets reality check by La Salle, young Adamson was able stand up and march forward once more.
The Lady Falcons took University of the East down via sweep, 25-20, 25-15, 25-12, for their second win in UAAP Season 87 women’s volleyball on Wednesday at Mall of Asia Arena.
Adamson’s gap grew farther in each frame until it soared away in Set 3 by a distant 13-point margin.

Super rookie Shaina Nitura went on a tear with an 18-point, 10-dig double-double in just three sets, as Nigerian foreign student-athlete Frances Mordi extended her strong run of form with 11 points and four digs.
Character development is key for Adamson
Head coach JP Yude wants to make it a point for his Lady Falcons to always be in the best headspace from the eve of their matches to delivevr the best performance possible even under pressure.
"I encourage always them na i-set yung minds nila every time before the game. Sa gabi pa lang, kung ano 'yung gagawin nila sa kinabukasang game on how we respond to every situation, especially sa crucial moments. ‘Yun talaga nire-remind ko sa kanila kasi most of the time, character yung nate-test pagdating sa crucial na moments," he said.
"Nu'ng kalaban namin La Salle during mga pressured moments, hindi na kami nakaka-decide nang maayos at ‘yung pagrespond namin sa sitwasyon, hindi siya maganda."
Another Adamson neophyte took charge in the non-scoring department, as rookie setter Felicity Sagaysay posted 15 excellent sets in their rise to 2-1.
Trouble in Recto
The Lady Warriors only registered five excellent sets in 101 total attempts, leaving the red-and-white with a winless 0-3 card and dead-last in the team standings.
Mainstay wingers Van Bangayan and Khy Cepada paced them with 21 combined points behind a defensive 13-dig, 11-reception double-double from Angelica Reyes.
