RISA Sato confirmed she is ineligible for UAAP Season 81 due to academic deficiency.
The BS Sports and Wellness Management major at National University didn’t disclose her failed units, but vowed to focus on her studies and to supporting the Lady Bulldogs in training and matches.
The Filipino-Japanese middle blocker remains on the Creamline lineup and played in the Premier Volleyball League All-Star game on Saturday at the Arena in San Juan City.
“Mahirap. Siyempre malungkot ako kasi sa team pinaka matanda, senior ako kasi need talaga na push ko yung mga teammates,” the Filipina-Japanese middle blocker said.
“Anyway yun nga po so bawi ako. Kayang kaya season 82 bawi ako doon,” Sato said. “Sa NU teammates ko support ako sa kanila sa training. Training pa din ako sa NU ngayon. NU tsaka Creamline pa din ako.”
