NATIONAL University picked up a fourth straight win on Wednesday, taking down Far Eastern University, 25-17, 13-25, 25-17, 25-19, in the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Alyssa Solomon caught fire early on the offensive end, scoring 15 of her 25 points in the first two sets alone to keep the Lady Bulldogs' heads above water against a resilient side from Morayta.

Bar a sudden second-set collapse, the Lady Bulldogs rode on strong runs of form from their veteran one-two punch in Belen and Solomon who combined for 36 of the team's 58 attacks.
NU's victory, however, was marred by an error-plagued performance which saw the two-time finalists commit double of FEU's total mishits (28 to 14). But even after stumbling early, NU banked on its second-stringer setter Abe Pono's seven excellent sets and two blocks to stretch their unbeaten run to four.
Meanwhile, FEU's leading scorer Gerz Petallo carried the scoring load in a losing effort with 17 points on 15 attacks and two aces.
