    May 5, 2019

UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas looks to continue its fine run while La Salle tries to stop the bleeding as the Tigresses and Lady Spikers clash in the UAAP women’s volleyball Final Four on Sunday at the MOA Arena in Pasay City.

Seventh placer last year, second seed UST now has two chances to eliminate La Salle and reach the finals.

The match starts at 4 p.m.

Led by Eya Laure and Sisi Rondina, The Tigresses have won five straight matches, including a four-set win over the Lady Spikers in a playoff for No. 2 spot on Wednesday.

“Ang nagkaiba lang ngayon meron kaming twice-to-beat advantage but still even pa rin ang laban sa Sunday,” said UST coach Kungfu Reyes. “Ia-assure namin na babalik kami na mas malakas at mas gutom. Kasi ito na ang chance for how many years babalik kami at papasok kami sa semis and now nasa aming kamay na so di na namin basta-basta palalagapsin ito.”

It is the first time in Ramil De Jesus’s 21 UAAP Seasons that he will not be armed with a twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four.
