ONE more year, it is.
Fresh off completing a historic 16-0 championship sweep in UAAP Season 88, seniors Shevana Laput, Angel Canino, Amie Provido, and Lyka De Leon have all officially committed to return for the Lady Spikers’ title defense in Season 89.
The announcement was made during the team’s courtesy call with DLSU president Br. Bernard Oca FSC, as first reported by The LaSallian.
The development immediately keeps intact the core that restored La Salle to the summit of UAAP women’s volleyball after ending a three-year title drought this past season.

Laput emerged as Finals MVP in the Lady Spikers’ sweep of National University, while Canino once again anchored the team as one of the league’s premier two-way stars.
Provido continued her rise as a two-time best middle blocker, and De Leon, a former best libero, remained the stabilizing veteran presence on the floor defense.
The confirmation also puts to rest days of uncertainty surrounding the quartet after none of the seniors stepped into the center during La Salle’s traditional post-title Archer Stance, fueling speculation regarding possible exits.
Instead of closing the chapter, however, ‘Batch 122’ now gets one final run together, effectively skipping the 2026 PVL Rookie Draft.
And with virtually their entire championship core returning, the Lady Spikers instantly become overwhelming favorites to win back-to-back championships.
