RAY Karl Dimaculangan is back as head coach of the National University Lady Bulldogs, as Norman Miguel exits the post, sources confirmed to SPIN.ph on Thursday.
Dimaculangan experienced two championships with NU; first leading the Lady Bulldogs to their first-ever title in Season 84, then helping them regain the crown as part of Miguel’s staff in Season 86.

He was approached for the position of interim head coach late last month.
“It’s part of the job. They asked me to be the interim coach for the team, I have to be ready to take that role,” he answered when asked about his new-slash-old post.
Dimaculangan already hard at work
Dimaculangan called the shots for the Lady Bulldogs’ tournament-opening victory against Letran in the V.League Preseason last Sunday at the Paco Arena.
He then added that the team's composition is almost the same, though they have a number of new additions.
“Nothing new. I know these girls, and they know me, same pa rin naman,” he said. “We just want to expose our rookies more this preseason to prepare for the UAAP title defense. Discipline starts here.”
The Lady Bulldogs will return to preseason action on Wednesday, August 14, facing UE.
