ON the heels of its opening game heartbreak at the hands of UAAP Season 87 defending champion National University last Sunday, La Salle had no choice but to regroup and rally around each other.

That was, without a doubt, a challenge, as the Lady Spikers got swept by their modern-day rivals.

Not only that, top gun and team captain Angel Canino was silenced to just seven points - later on calling that as the worst game of her career, as told by the courtside reporter of the league's broadcaster.

Their determination to bounce back was very much evident a week later, as La Salle put the pieces back together and dominated Shaina Nitura-led Adamson via sweep.

Alleiah Malaluan topped the tally for the Lady Spikers with 16 points, as Shevana Laput delivered 10 of her own. Rookie setter Mikole Reyes also shone as starting setter with 15 excellent sets.
