CELINE Domingo is eager to get back in action after helplessly watching Far Eastern University get swept in the PVL finals.
The middle blocker aggravated a knee injury she had been nursing for several matches when FEU played five tough sets in the opener of the title series with the University of the Philippines.
Domingo couldn’t play in the second match, and the Lady Tamaraws got swept by the Lady Maroons.
An MRI showed Domingo had a meniscus degradation in her right knee.
Weeks lang ‘to.”
Domingo is looking to make her comeback when Smart — composed of the core of PayMaya under Roger Gorayeb — plays in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference in October before FEU sees action in the UAAP Season 81 next year.
Domingo said she wanted badly to play in the second match of the best-of-three series on Friday.
The first Best Middle Blocker of the conference Domingo had 16 points before going down in the series opener, and believes just a fraction of that could have helped big.
