BELLA Belen has a sporting resume bright enough to make an impression overseas, just like Alyssa Solomon who’ll be trying her luck in the 2025 Korean V-League (KOVO) Asian Quota Draft.

But will Belen follow Solomon by the end of National U’s UAAP Season 87 title defense?
Not for now - because the UAAP remains her sole focus.
“Sa isang player, hindi naman mawawala yung dream to play internationally as an import. Pero kasi ako as of now, hindi ko pa siya muna tinitignan. Naka-focus muna ako sa UAAP,” Belen said.
“Magkakaiba naman po ng (aspirations) yung mga players. Gusto ko muna tapusin yung UAAP, pero siyempre, gusto ko naman po maglaro sa international (leagues) talaga.”
Even before their bid for a back-to-back went underway, Belen and Solomon already made it clear that Season 87 will be their last for the Lady Bulldogs.

For now, though, all that matters for the two-time MVP is to see her oft-quiet ‘ate Aly’ make it big outside Jhocson.
And indeed, in Belen's view, her longtime teammate and good friend has a good chance as any of making the cut.
“Malaki yung chance ni ate Aly kasi maganda yung pinapakita niya and maganda yung mga naipakita niya this past UAAP (seasons) namin and sa international leagues," she said.
“Hopefully, sana po makuha si ate Aly.”

As for obvious questions on distractions, the Lady Bulldogs skipper has full faith that Solomon has her priorities in order.
As she put it, “Sa training naman po, nakikita naman namin and sa games na kahit na nag-apply sa ate Aly, siya rin naman mismo nagsabi na wala pa naman yun, tryouts pa lang. Nakikita ko naman na naka-focus pa rin naman si ate Aly."
