THIS will break the hearts of her male supporters, but Ateneo stalwart Fille Cainglet had just gotten hitched.
The charming volleyball star finally tied the knot on Friday in Cebu City with popular movie director and Taguig congressman Lino Cayetano.
In a private ceremony, the two exchanged vows at a Christian wedding set at a posh Cebu beachfront.
Only family members of the two parties were present, which only numbered less than 10, according to sources.
The witnesses included Cayetano’s siblings Senators Alan Peter and Pia.
“Gusto kasi nila gawing private yung wedding. Kaya nga wala kayong masyadong nabalitaang funfare before their big day,” a source close to the couple said.
The couple chose Cebu as the venue of the wedding as the Queen City of the South has been the favorite vacation spot of the two.
Cayetano, a former UP Maroons spiker, has long been a fan of Cainglet, who spearheaded Ateneo’s campaign the last five seasons in both the UAAP and V-League.
“Mahilig kasi sa volleyball si Kuya Lino. Dun na rin sila nagkakilala,” said the source, who also revealed that Lino and Fille have only been together since September.
“Idol din kasi ni Lino yung Kuya Alan niya. Matagal nag-settle down pero nung nakita na niya yung right girl. Hindi na niya pinakawalan,” said the source.
Cayetano and Cainglet also work together as proprietors of Luna Café restaurant at the Fort in Taguig.
