LEAGUE-leading Ateneo looks to secure a twice-to-beat advantage as the Lady Eagles face cellar-dwelling Adamson on Wednesday in the UAAP Season 81 women’s volleyball tournament at the Arena in San Juan.

Second-running La Salle tries to secure at least a playoff for a twice-to-beat incentive the Lady Spikers take on also-ran University of the East.

Ateneo (10-2) and Adamson (1-11) face off at 4 p.m. after the 2 p.m. match between La Salle (9-3) and UE (3-9).

The Lady Eagles’ 10-match win streak was halted by the Lady Spikers on April 13 and the league leaders are eager to regain their winning ways.

A win will give the Lady Eagles the twice-to-beat incentive in the Final Four and coach Oliver Almadro urges the squad led by Bea de Leon, Maddie Madayag and Kat Tolentino no not take bottom team Adamson lightly.

La Salle, on the other hand, has to win its remaining two matches to clinch the twice-to-beat advantage.
