The Blue Eagles finished a distant fifth at 5-9 (win-loss) - but still a step forward from their 4-10 record last season.

Libero-captain Roma Doromal played her final game for Ateneo, with fourth-year players AC Miner and Taks Fujimoto left with an option to play out their final year of UAAP eligibility.

"Sobrang proud ako kasi nakita ko 'yung progress ng teammates ko na buo pa rin kami as a team mula preseason to first round to second round," said Doromal.

'Yung progress ng team and improvement, sobrang madami kayong makukuha sa kanila (in the coming seasons). Nakita niyo naman kung gaano sila kagaling so I'm very proud lang talaga and thankful din ako na nag-stay ako for this season," the graduating libero-captain added.

The Katipunan side breezed past its San Marcelino counterparts on all departments after firing 34 attacks and converting 35 digs and 14 receptions in the one-hour, 31-minute contest.
