WITH its sights still set on the UAAP Season 87 Final Four, Adamson had to start the second round on the right foot.
And so, they did after blanking winless University of the East and barging back into the win column following a four-game skid.

Super rookie Shaina Nitura led the Lady Falcons yet again with an 18-point outing built on 17 attacks to pace them in the straight-sets win.
However, it was not only Nitura who had the spotlight on her, as Fhei Sagaysay delivered 14 excellent sets which activated Mayang Nuique who put up 11 markers of her own.

Barbie Jamili and Jen Villegas also contributed nine and eight points, respectively.
“Since nag-start kami ng training, sinusubukan namin i-work na lahat talaga is nadi-distribute nang maayos yung bola.” Nitura expressed post-game, most definitely satisfied with their most complete effort thus far.
“Lahat may ganap sa loob ng court, lahat may role, (at) nagagampanan nang maayos,” she added.
Still much room for improvement for Adamson
Though the total team effort was much-welcome, the rookie-captain furthered that Adamson is yet to prove it can do it consistently.

“Most of us are first-years, yung mga first six. Then the rest is second-year, third-year, tapos fourth. Sana by this round, mas makit yung chemistry namin as a team,” the league’s current top-scorer hopefully stated.
Indeed, if the Lady Falcons were to take flight once more, it would take much more than just their record-breaking super scorer.
