ADAMSON survived University of the East’s comeback, 25-19, 25-19, 26-28, 29-27, in the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Barbie Jamili made the most of her first start for the Lady Falcons, scoring 20 points on 18 attacks and two blocks.

"Grabe 'yung game, intense sobra. Pati ako nadadala na rin. But still, good job for the [team]. Kumbaga, ginawa nila lahat para manalo sa game na 'to. Hindi nila binitawan especially 'yung last set, fourth set, so binabalik ko talaga 'yung appreciation sa mga bata sa work sa ginawa nila ngayon," said Adamson head coach JP Yude.

The win came on the same day the UAAP announced the suspension of UE coach Jerry Yee for the remainder of the season for 'conduct violative of the league's purposes.'
Yee, who was barred from entering game venues during his three-month ban, was the head coach of the Lady Falcons prior to taking on the UE job back in June.
As Adamson took hold of the first two sets with ease, UE was quick to pick up the pace through another heroic stand from super rookie Casiey Dongallo (26 points) but just fell flat in a fourth-set tug-of-war ended by a match-clinching service ace from Jen Villegas.
Key scoring pitches from AA Adolfo (16 points) and Adamson rookie ace Red Bascon (13 points) saw the Lady Falcons pick up their second win in four games over a comeback-seeking Lady Warriors side, as the San Marcelino side fired a game-high 59 attacks, seven blocks, and four aces.
