LA Salle’s Ara Galang leads in scoring in the UAAP Season 77 women’s volleyball tournament.

Galang, who towed the Lady Spikers to a league-best 5-0 card heading to the annual Christmas break, is pulling away in the Best Scorer race with 105 points on 82 spikes, 13 blocks and 10 service aces, according to official statistician TMX Sports.

In La Salle’s 25-23, 24-26, 25-14, 25-17 win over Adamson University last Nov. 23, Galang fired a season-best 27 hits, a point shy of matching her career-high of 28 points she set in the third match of the Season 76 Finals last March.

Valdez, seeking to help the Lady Eagles win a second consecutive title, is No. 1 in spiking with a 45.33 percent success rating and is also the best in the serving department with a 0.83 average per set.
