DESPITE talk about Ateneo accumulating rust with more than two weeks out of tournament play, Thai coach Anusorn Bundit is confident the Lady Eagles will be ready for their title showdown against La Salle starting on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum.
“Training, okay, no problem,” said Bundit.
Ateneo has been training hard since its final elimination-round match, winning two tuneup matches against Super Liga powerhouse Philippine Army and another against PLDT, also a PSL squad.
“I believe, I believe,” Bundit told sportswriters when asked if they can clinch the title this season.
“I believe we can do everything,” he added.

Bundit has also told the Lady Eagles to block off the pressure as well thoughts of their massive thrice-to-beat advantage from their heads. The Lady Eagles earned an outright final spot after completing a 14-match sweep of the elimination round.
“I tell the players just happy, heart strong, no pressure for back-to-back,” he said.
“I tell everybody no thinking everything, not thinking thrice-to-beat,” he added.
Team manager Tony Boy Liao has also ordered the Lady Eagles not to discuss Lady Spikers skipper Ara Galang and the injury that will keep her out of the title series.
