FAR Eastern University scored its second win in three matches, clobbering bottom team University of the East, 25-14, 25-13, 25-19, on Wednesday in the UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.
Rookie Toni Basas scored 12 points for FEU, sophomore Bernadeth Pons added 11, Remy Palma had eight and first year player Jerrili Malaban chipped in with seven.
The Lady Tamaraws needed just 77 minutes to take the match but coach Shaq de los Santos said his team still needs to work on its overall performance.
“We need to train hard pa,” he said. “’Yung team performance kailangan pa i-improve, ’yung pagiging aggressive sa loob ng court tapos ’yung pagiging consistent ng galaw minsan up and down ang galaw.”
“Kulang pa kami sa pagbabasa sa atake ng kalaban,” he delos Santos.
Shaya Adorador scored 13 points and Leuseht Dawis contributed seven as UE remained winless in three matches.
