NATIONAL University is one win away from the UAAP Season 78 juniors volleyball title after beating University of the East, 25-12, 18-25, 25-21, 26-24, on Monday at the Adamson University gym.
The thrice-to-beat Bullpups recovered from a stunning loss in the opener, with Dazyl June Cayamso closing out the match with a kill off two UE blockers.
The Bullpups can clinch the title on Wednesday.
The Junior Warriors will be looking to extend their 11-year reign. A fourth match, if necessary, will be played on Thursday at the same venue.
NU is gunning for a high school volleyball double, as its girls team earlier won the title at the expense of University of Santo Tomas.
The Junior Warriors won the opening match, 25-21, 25-15, 25-19, on Monday.
