JUDE Garcia and Kevin Hadlocon of Far Eastern University remained as the lone unbeaten team as they took down Krung Arbasto and Jaron Requinton of University of Santo Tomas, 21-19, 21-18, for their third straight win in UAAP beach volleyball men’s volleyball tournament on Tuesday at Sands by the Bay in Pasay City.

Riding on the crest of their huge upset over defending champions Bryan Bagunas and James Natividad last Monday, the duo of Garcia and Hadlocon stayed unstoppable in their first three matches edging last year’s silver medalists, Sand Tigers, in a tight two-set encounter

But for the two Tamaraws, it’s still a long way to go.

“Para sa aming dalawa, nakaka boost sa amin ng morale yun, pero syempre di mo naman babasta bastahin yung ibang team kasi kalaban din sila. Bilog ang bola, kailangan pa namin pagbutihan,” Garcia said.

“Syempre gusto namin may mapatunayan kami, di lang sa indoor volleyball, syempre dito rin sa outdoor. Champion team din kami dito, kailangan maibalik yung nawalang korona,” he added.

    Hadlocon agreed.

“Hindi pa naman tapos ang laban, marami pa kami makakalaban na malakas, di lang NU at UST ang malakas,” he said. “Kailangan namin pakita sa FEU community at sa lahat ng sumusuporta sa amin.”

Arbasto and Requinton dropped to 2-1 win-loss record tied with NU, Adamson and UE.

Bagunas and Natividad, meanwhile, notched their second straight win since losing to FEU in their campaign opener as the Bulldogs made a short work of Ateneo Blue Eagles Kurt Aguilar and Abai Llenos, 21-12, 21-15.

Adamson’s Paolo Pablico and Jesus Valdez also got their second win in three games after dealing UE's Clifford Inoferio and Alven Aljas their first defeat with a decisive 21-15, 22-24, 16-14 three-set win.

Nico Consuelo and Mac Millete of UP finally broke out from a two-game slump and earned its first win after beating De La Salle's Geraint Bacon and Paul Serrano in three sets, 23-21, 19-21, 15-12.
