THE opening games of the PBA Governors’ Cup will be aired on TV5 while the Asian Under-23 Women’s Volleyball match between the Philippines against Chinese Taipei will be shown on its sister network Akyson TV 41.
In a heavy Tuesday sports schedule for the network, the PBA opening doubleheader on Tuesday will have Blackwater going up against Alaska at 4:15 p.m. and Meralco taking on GlobalPort at 7 p.m. at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
The league's second game, incidentally, will be played at the same time as the Philippines’ second match of the second round in the Asian Under-23 tournament against Chinese Taipei at the Philsports Arena.
The Philippines is hoping for a win on Tuesday against Chinese Taipei to avoid falling to the bottom of Pool E and avoid a face-off against top-seeded teams in Pool F in the quarterfinal round.
The Filipina spikers lost to Japan in straight sets on Monday.
