FAR Eastern University vented its ire on listless Adamson University, 25-9, 25-20, 25-11, to get back on the winning track in the UAAP Season 79 women’s volleyball tournament on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.
Toni Basas had 16 points, while Bernadeth Pons and skipper Remy Palma added 10 markers apiece as FEU snapped a two-match skid and bagged its first win in the second round.
The Lady Tamaraws share fourth witn NU at 5-4. Coming off a straight-sets loss to defending champion La Salle, the FEU squad came up with 41 kill points compared to just 14 of the Lady Falcons in the one-hour and 15-minute match.
Adamson took a 9-5 lead in the second set before the Lady Tams countered with eight unanswered points to take control, 13-9.
Lady Falcons coach Airess Padda could no longer hold her emotions and cursed on national television during a timeout.
“Do your f*?k!ñ’ job! I’m sick of it!” said the American mentor.
Although Adamson only had one block and three service aces, the Lady Falcons earned 22 points from FEU’s errors.
The Lady Falcons remained winless in nine matches under Padda and 16 straight dating to the second round of Season 78.
