TECHNOLOGICAL Institute of the Philippines and Philippine Merchant Marine School made short work of their rivals to rule the 4th Interscholastic Athletic Association volleyball tournament Wednesday at the TIP gym in Manila.
TIP trounced Feati University, 25-10, 25-17, 25-16, to capture its second straight women's crown while PMMS downed Philippine Women's University, 25-19, 25-19, 25-18, for the men's title.
Lanky 5-foot-11 spiker Lea Mae Guantero scored the bulk of TIP's points with Rochelle Fidel, Jae Ann Rendon, Michelle dela Cruz and team captain Lara Justin Pasion providing the support for the team coached by Gerry Yee.
