UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas and Far Eastern University bagged the women’s and men’s titles in the 3rd East Ridge Volleyball Championships last week in Cavite.
The Tigresses defeated La Salle-Dasmarinas, 25-20 25-16 25-11, to grab the women’s crown after eliminating Emilio Aguinaldo College in the semifinals.
Meanwhile, the Tamaraws beat National University, 25-23 25-19 19-25 20-25 15-13, to somehow soothe the pain of their loss to the Bulldogs in the UAAP men’s championship.
FEU defeated NCAA champion Perpetual Help in the semifinal round.
The champions won P50,000 each.
UST is gearing up for the Shakey’s V-League Season 10 First Conference that will open on April 7 at The Arena in San Juan.
