LA Salle-Dasmarinas clipped PATTS College of Aeronautics, 25-12, 25-14, 25-10 to earn a return trip to the finals of the 20th National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) women’s volleyball tournament at the Rizal Technological University gymnasium in Mandaluyong.
The semifinal win arranged the title showdown between the three-peat seeking Lady Patriots against the Philippine School of Business Administration Lady Jaguars.
PSBA repulsed the RTU Lady Thunder at its own home turf with a 25-22, 27-25, 23-25, 25-15 win. The Lady Jaguars fought their way out of a 1-all deadlock in the first set and never looked back after establishing an 11-7 lead.
La Salle-Dasma took charge in the first set off six service points from Monique Tiangco as the Lady Patriots turned a 0-3 deficit into a 6-3 edge.
Efforts from Bea Canillas and Jessa Fernandez then allowed the Dasma spikers to move ahead, 12-7.
In the men's side, the Philippine Merchant Marine School Mariners came off with a 25-20, 25-21, 25-12 beating of the Olivarez College Sea Lions to arrange a semis clash with La Salle-Dasmarinas.
The RTU Blue Thunder, who scored a five-game sweep of the eliminations, meet Olivarez College in the other semifinal duel.
