STA. ROSA, Laguna — Thailand ruled the Second Leg of the Asean Grand Prix as it beat winless Vietnam, 25-21, 25-12, 25-11, on Sunday at Sta. Rosa Sports Complex in Sta. Rosa Laguna.
After a perfect run in their hosting of the first leg, the Thais completed another three-match sweep in the Philippine SEA Games Organizing Committee Volleyball Test Event.
Malika Kanthong delivered 13 points to lead Thailand, which finished the second stop of the four-nation tournament without dropping a single set.

Pleumjit Thinkaow and Wanitchaya Luangtonglang scored 12 points each and combined for 20 of Thailand’s 42 kills.
Thailand will be awarded the gold medal in the closing ceremonies after the battle for silver between the Philippines and Indonesia.
Thi Kieu Trinh Hoang scored nine points for Vietnam, which finished last after another winless stint.
