THAILAND fashioned out a 27-29, 25-19, 25-8, 25-13 over Iran on Thursday to advance to the semifinals of the 2015 Asian Under-23 Women’s Volleyball Championship at the Philsports Arena.

The Thais will next face Japan, which beat India in straight sets in their own quarterfinal match-up. The Final Four match is set at 7 p.m.

Chatchu-on Moksri and Hattaya Bamrungsak had 19 and 17 points each for Thailand, which bounced back after losing to China at the end of the second-round competition.

“We are going to prepare. Japan has a very good reception system and attacks. We are going to play 100 percent against Japan,” said Thailand coach Nataphon Srisamutnak.

China and Korea play in the other semifinal match on Friday at 4:15 p.m.
