TAI Bundit is set to train the Adamson Lady Falcons for two months.
Lady Falcon Chiara Permentilla, who is still recovering from an ACL injury, confirmed that the Thai mentor will lend a hand training the team for two months.
“Siya raw po training, magtetraining sa amin pero si coach Lerma (Giron) pa rin po maghahandle ng team namin ngayon,” Permentilla told the reporters.
Sources also confirmed to Spin.ph that Bundit, currently calling the shots for Creamline in the PVL, will start training the Falcons on September 1.
“It’s being worked out. So far he will train the Adamson team for two months,” the source said.
Another source closely monitoring the situation bared that it’s part of the process of hiring Bundit being eyed as their new head coach.
Bundit, who steered Ateneo back-to-back UAAP titles in 2014 and 2015 in four Finals apperance of his five-year tenure, will train the rookie-laden Lady Falcons bannered by Kings’ Montessori School standouts Louie Romero, Lucille Almonte and Rizza Cruz and holdovers Trisha Genesis, MJ Igao and Ceasa Piñar.
Assistant coach Giron is currently calling the shots for the Lady Falcons in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference as head coach Onyok Getigan skipped the tournament due to personal reasons.
The Lady Falcons had a forgettable Season 81 only winning two out of 14 games with Getigan replacing former head coach Air Padda after a 0-3 start.
Under Giron, the rookie-laden Adamson swept its first two matches in the PVL beating San Beda and University of Perpetual Help for an early Pool A lead.
