SYSTEMA took only 69 minutes to beat Via Mare, 25-20, 25-11, 25-20, on Wednesday and take a share of second spot in the Philippine Super Liga All Filipino Conference at Cuneta Astrodome.
Chris Macasaet and Mark Lee scored 11 points apiece for the Active Smashers, while John Depante added nine.
“Teamwork lang talaga kaya siguro nakuha namin ng three sets," said Systema coach Oliver Almadro.
“Lahat sila may day jobs, but for me that is our strength kasi tough sila mentally and physically plus there is a sense of responsibility,” he said.
Systema is tied with Cignal in second spot (3-2), behind league leader PLDT Home TVolution-Air Force (6-0).
Samuel Paquiz made eight points for Via Mare, which remained winless in five games.
