Iriga City halts four-match skid with straight-sets victory over winless Victoria Sports UST

IRIGA City ended four-match losing run, ripping winless Victoria Sports-University of Sto. Tomas, 25-19, 25-21, 25-20, on Thursday in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix at The Arena in San Juan.

Croatian import Tamara Kmezic showed the way with 20 points as the Oragons improved to 2-4.

“Sabi ko sa kanila importante manalo tayo ngayon para sa ranking para ’di naman namin makalaban ’yung No.1 kasi baka gulpihin kami kawawa kami,” said Iriga City coach Parley Tupas.

Carla Sandoval and Dimdim Pacres combined for 25 points for the Tigresses, who remained winless in six outings.
