F2 Logistics looks to move closer to the final phase of the tournament when it takes on Petron on Thursday in the Philippine Superliga Invitational Conference at The Arena in San Juan.
The Cargo Movers enter the match with a 3-1 win-loss mark and need to sweep their remaining matches against Petron and Cignal to advance to the final round where a Thai team is set to compete against the top three local teams.
"This is a very short tournament and every game is important. I told the team that we have to go hard each time because all teams here are very competitive and capable of winning the title," said F2 coach Rosemarie Prochina.
Petron, meanwhile, looks to score a follow-up to its four-set win over Cignal in its conference debut.
The Tri-Active Spikers, now led by Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, started slow but managed to hold off the HD Spikers.
The Petron-F2 match starts at 4 p.m. followed by the showdown between winless squads San Jose Builders and Cignal.
"What we showed was just about 65 percent of what we can do," said Pascua.
"This team has a lot of potential. We still have a lot of things to work on and I hope that we get better every game."
Pascua expects a tough match as they battles former Petron player Aby Marano, who signed with F2 just before the tournament.
"We know how passionate Aby is, talagang binibigay nya ang lahat sa bawat laro. So it will be interesting to see how she will perform against us. Pagbibigyan ba nya kami o all-out pa din and performance nya? Let's see," said Pascua.
