FOTON downed Petron, 25-20, 25-20, 22-25, 25-17, on Saturday at the PhilSports Arena to claim a second Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix title.
American import Ariel Usher scored 19 points for the Tornadoes, who took the series opener in five sets.
Lindsay Stalzer scored 14 markers and Most Valuable Player Jaja Santiago chipped in with 10 as Foton swept Petron in the conference, getting two wins in eliminations and two in the finals.
“When I come to a team I normally promise first place,” said Foton coach Moro Branislav. “But for my opinion, give this Foton team maybe five more months and it will be far better for the next PSL conference.”
As winners of the GP, the Tornadoes will represent the Philippines in the 2017 Asian Women's Club Championship in Kazakhstan.
American imports Stephanie Niemer and Serena Warner led Petron with 31 and 10 points, respectively.
Army has the most titles with three, while Foton and Petron are tied with two each. F2 Logistics won the 2016 All Filipino tournament.
Niemer was awarded first best outside spiker, while Usher was second best.
Maika Ortiz received the award for second best blocker, while Aiza Maizo-Pontillas was named best opposite spiker.
F2 Logistics’ Aby Marano was named first best middle blocker, Kim Fajardo was named best setter and Dawn Macandili was awarded as best libero.
