GENERIKA arranged a Finals showdown with Petron for the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix championship after ousting RC Cola Air Force, 25-23, 25-16, 25-23, in the semifinals Friday at the Astrodome.
The Life Savers and Blaze Spikers dispute the crown on Sunday in a winner-take-all showdown.
Petron earlier clinched the first Finals berth with an easy 25-23, 25-16, 25-21 beating of Cignal.
The winning team will be the only franchise to win the title outside of three-time winner Philippine Army. It also earns the right to represent the country in the Asian Women's Inter-Club Championship in Vietnam in April next year.
What was expected to be a down-the-wire match turned out to be walk in the park for Generika, which completed the win in just an hour and 21 minutes.
Russian import Natalia Korobkova scored 13 points for Generika, while locals Paneng Mercado had 12 and Micmic Laborte 11, including six of the team's 12 blocks.
The Life Savers romped to their seventh consecutive win in the tournament.
Maika Ortiz made 11 points RC Cola Air Force, runner-up last conference, while Judy Ann Caballejo and Emily Brown added nine markers apiece.
