STEPHANIE Niemer is set for a four-month stint in the Puerto Rican league but is not closing the door on a return to the Philippine Super Liga.

"The door is definitely open for that, but we'll see," said Niemer after Petron settled for second place behind Foton in the PSL Grand Prix.

Niemer said she felt bad as Petron failed in its title bid, but for now the focus is on her return to the Puerto Rico league.

"It's very disappointing," she said. "I think our team gave our 100 percent, our absolute heart in Game One. But there's nothing we can do about it now."

"It was a good experience, I really liked my team. The people here in the Philippines, everybody's here so sweet, it's a nice change of pace to be around such great people everywhere I go," she said.

"I have some friends at home that have had a tough year so I'm going back. I want to spend time with my friends, family," she said. "That's what's most important to me now because I'm not gonna get too much time with them in Christmas."
