STA. Lucia emerged on top in a battle of winless teams, downing Victoria Sports-University of Santo Tomas, 25-19, 25-21, 25-19, on Tuesday in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix at The Arena in San Juan.

Ukrainian import Bohdana Anisova had 13 points, while Australian reinforcement Marisa Field and Pamela Lastimosa chipped in 11 markers apiece for the Lady Realtors, who scored their first victory after four losses.

“Ang hirap noon kapag natalo pa kami so kahit papano may konting pressure din,” said Sta. Lucia coach Jerry Yee.

“We needed a win so we got a win and then sa second set medyo akala ko bibitaw pa, ok na rin 'yun nag recover. So mga baby steps namin well take it,” he added.

The Lady Realtors fought back from five points down in the second set, 13-18, using a 7-0 run to take the lead.

Dimdim Pacres had nine points, while Caitlyn Viray and Carla Sandoval added eight markers each for Victoria Sports-UST, which slipped to a 0-3 win-loss record.
