STA. LUCIA finally scored a win after 10 straight losses, sweeping the winless Marinerang Pilipina, 25-17, 25-19, 31-29, on Thursday in the PSL All-Filipino Conference at the Arena in San Juan.
The Lady Realtors added a win to their June 15 opening-day victory against the same team.
Amanda Villanueva had 13 points off nine spikes and four blocks laced with 21 digs and 12 excellent receptions, while skipper Pam Lastimosa nailed 11 points, all coming from attacks, while making 10 digs.

Glaudine Troncoso, a rookie from Ilo-ilo, scored all her eight points in the third frame as Sta Lucia held off Marinerang Pilipina.
“Gusto ko i-acknowledge yung mga bata so they went through a lot of losses. We wanted to solve it, nagisip kami ng mga paraan para mastop namin yung losing streak,” said Sta. Lucia head coach Babes Castillo. “In fact, ang target namin is to win in straight sets. Nabilib ako sa mga bata kasi yung kanilang composure nadedevelop na nila.”
Judith Abil had 13 points laced with 13 digs and seven excellent receptions, while Chiara Permentilla added 10 markers for the Lady Skippers, winless in nine matches.
