STA. Lucia head coach Babes Castillo believes sheer frustration led to a record second-set beating the Realtors suffered at the hands of F2 Logistics in a Philippine SuperligaAll-Filipino Conference game on Thursday night.
After blowing a 19-10 lead in the first set, the Lady Realtors only managed to score just three points in the second set - the lowest output in a set by any club team in league history - on the way to a 22-25, 3-25, 12-25 loss to the Cargo Movers at the Arena in San Juan City.
Castillo said it was all in the mind.
Lucia’s eighth loss in nine matches.
The Lady Realtors’ three points in the second set erased the previous low of five set by Cherrylume-University of the East in the first set of a loss to F2 Logistics last June 20, 2017 in the All-Filipino Conference.
Castillo is sure that his wards will learn from the embarrassing 3-25 loss hoping that can end their woes before the quarterfinals.
“Tingin ko majority of the group natuto na. Now it’s our time to pay our dues.”
