CAGAYAN DE ORO — Sisi Rondina wanted to give the Kagay-anon fans a great match and preserve Petron’s winning streak that’s why she gave everything tallying her best performance in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference.

“Para worth it din yung panonood ng mga tao dito sa CDO at siyempre para mapasaya sila,” said Rondina after her 32-point explosion on Saturday at the Corpus Christi Gym.

Rondina put on a show in Cagayan de Oro unleashing 27 kills, four blocks and an ace and had a tremendous effort with 20 digs and 10 excellent receptions leading Petron’s come-from-behind five-set win.

The 5-foot-6 spiker fought until the end against the towering sisters Dindin Santiago-Manabat and Jaja Santiago, who put up 31 and 26 points, respectively.

With the Blaze Spikers earning the match point five times in the fifth set, the reigning UAAP MVP was accountable for the last three set leads until Bernadeth Pons delivered the winning-hit that sealed No.1 spot for Petron.

“Ginawa ko lahat para hindi rin maput into waste yung mga ginagawa namin tsaka mindset talaga namin in every game we will give our hundred percent,” Rondina said.

Rondina was Petron’s consistent leader coming off the bench in the first round and starting in the round 2.

The Blaze Spikers are entering the knockout quarterfinals with 11-game winning streak for a league-best 13-1 win-loss record facing No.8 Marinerang Pilipina in the next round.

Rondina assures Petron that she won’t stop fighting until the final whistle of the conference
