COACH Shaq de los Santos is disappointed, but remains confident of their title chances after Petron settled for second spot in the Super Liga playoffs.
After an hour with the players in the dugout following a four-set loss to defending champion Foton on Thursday, De los Santos admitted to reporters he wasn’t very pleased with the Tri-Activ Spikers’ performance but he is not dwelling on it and told the players to focus on the task at hand.
Ang next game plan ay semis muna,” he said.
“Pangit talaga ang performance namin, ganoon talaga,” he added.
The veteran mentor urged his wards to take the loss as a challenge to get better as one unit.
“So ’yung standing wag na naming bilangin,” he added.
Petron has more time to prepare for the semifinals, as it waits for the winner of the match between No. 3 F2 Logistics and No. 6 Cignal.
