COCOLIFE rookie Gyra Barroga is eager to keep proving herself in the Philippine Super Liga Invitational Conference after her back-to-back impressive performances.
The former La Salle spiker averaged 15.5 point per game in their first two matches, the first was a win over University of the East Cherrylume and the second a loss to Sta. Lucia in Pool B.
“I have to work on that (errors), I have to focus more and get back in shape para mapakita ko sa lahat ‘yung best ko,” said Barroga.
Although she is the youngest on the team, Barroga feels the need to step up and be a leader on the court to be of help.
“First, kailangan ko pa is mag-ingay sa court para madala ko lahat and second is maging aggressive pa when I’m hitting or digging, I have to give my all talaga when I’m inside the court,” she said.
“Ako ang pinakabata sa court pero hindi ko pinapakita ‘yun,” she added. “’Yung mga seniors ko (sumusunod ako sa kanila).”
Cocolife will take on Smart on Thursday as the Asset Managers hope to bounce back.
