GENERIKA-Ayala has acquired Ria Meneses and April Hingpit from Petrfor the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix set to open on February 17.

Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

The team is trying to boost the lineup even as it has yet to hire a new coach to replace Francis Vicente. Meneses and Hingpit will join returning imports Katarina Pilepic of Croatia and Darlene Ramdin of Trinidad and Tobago.

Meneses had played for Generika-Ayala before moving to Petron last year.

"Riri is one of the leagues strongest MH/MB. At her young age she has shown a lot of potential at her position and yet she can get even better,” said Generika chief operating officer Jay Ferrer.

“She will surely help in providing a stronger net defense to the team as well as produce the necessary points from the middle. Welcome back home - Riri," he added.

Veteran Hingpit was Cignal's main setter in the 2015 Grand Prix and 2016 All-Filipino Conference.
