RETURNING F2 Logistics hitter Ara Galang isn’t expecting to get regular playing minutes but is always ready to step up in their title retention bid in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix.
The former La Salle star, who did not suit up in last year’s edition due to a recurring knee injury, in fact, doesn’t mind coming off the bench.
The prolific spiker played sparingly in the first and second sets in F2 Logistics’ win over Cignal, 25-21, 25-17, 25-14, on Thursday at The Arena in San Juan.
“Syempre kailangan parati pa ring ready lalo syempre konti lang kaming players so kailangan every day, every training, every game parating ready,” she said.
“‘Yung focus dapat nandoon, same lagi, hindi ko dapat isipin kung maglalaro ba ako or first six ba ako, dapat nandoon pa rin ang mindset ko,” she added.
Galang shared that sitting out for one conference made her more excited to play again.
“Merong excitement, merong gigil siguro dahil medyo matagal din ‘yung hindi ako naglaro pero one game at a time lang, dahan dahan lang,” she said.
“Sa akin I take it slowly lang, chill lang, nandoon ang excitement pero kailangan din syempre alam ko kung papaano i-balance,” she added.
F2 Logistics will face Foton on Saturday and Generika-Ayala on Tuesday to end the first round.
