COACH Ramil De Jesus said the Petron Blaze Spikers wanted the Super Liga All Filipino title more than F2 Logistics, and it was clear from the start.

So mas gusto ng Petron manalo. Kitang-kita sa first set pa lang,” De Jesus said.

De Jesus lauded Petron for the solid effort, earning the title with a straight-sets win in the series decider on Thursday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

“Gusto nila (F2 Logistics) manalo noong Game Two. Given naman 'yun. Tapos siguro 'yung Petron medyo nag-relax naman,” he said.

“And then na-realize ng Petron, hindi kami papayag magpatalo nitong Game Three, which is nagkaiba naman, nag-antay lang itong team.

Ara Galang, Cha Cruz-Behag and Majoy Baron came up with huge performances, but De Jesus said the squad could have done much better.

So dapat all out na lahat,” he added.

The Cargo Movers never hit top form after key players including Behag, Baron, Aby Maraño, Kianna Dy, Kim Fajardo and Dawn Macandili played in Asian Games Jakarta 2018.

“Well, after kasi ng Asian Games eh, karamihan ng players ko hindi naman halos naka-practice na, kasi more on nasa therapy. Lahat nag-recovery,” F2 Logistics coach said.

De Jesus says it will be a busy 2019 for him next year juggling the coaching duties of F2 Logistics for PSL Grand Prix and De La Salle in its ‘four-peat’ bid in UAAP Season 81.

“Well ito, first time kong hahawak ng team na kasabay ang UAAP,” he said.

So medyo mabigat.”
