RACHEL Anne Daquis is looking for a new team with her RC Cola Army squad opting to sit out the 2017 Philippine Super Liga season due to a significant number of the Lady Troopers on leave for military training.
The lone civilian in the team, Daquis expressed her willingness to entertain offers from other clubs as the new season of the Philippine Super Liga starts with its Invitational Conference in February.
"Welcome ako sa kahit anong offer (from other teams) kasi gusto ko talagang maglaro this year," she said.
Daquis has been with Army for almost eight years but being with another team is nothing new for the outside spiker from Taytay.
When Army missed the 2015 season, the 29-year old spiker was tapped by Petron and became part of the Tri-Activ Spikers' big three with Dindin Santiago-Manabat and Aby Maraño in leading the team to a rare 13-0 sweep of the All-Filipino tournament.
RC Cola Army’s core including Jovelyn Gonzaga, Honey Royse Tubino, Nene Bautista and Tin Agno will undergo an eight-month training at the Training and Doctrine Center in Capas, Tarlac.
