RACHEL Anne Daquis has suffered a partial plantar aponeurotic tear on her left heel in a Philipine Super Liga game on Thursday night and her status remains in doubt for RC Cola Army.
The FIVB World Club Women’s Championship-bound spiker was pulled out of RC Cola's game against F2 Logistics at the La Salle campus in Lipa, Batangas after hearing a pop on her left heel.
An ultrasound done on her heel by Dr. Isagani Leal on Friday confirmed the tear.
“Based sa ultrasound mukhang may partial plantar aponeurotic tear si Rachel,” Lady Troopers physical therapist Alyssa Tomas told SPIN.ph on Friday.
“In-advise siya ni Doc Isagani na mag-MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) today to see the degree of injury,” she added.

The result of the MRI, done at the Center for Musculoskelatal Science-Asia, will determine the length of time Daquis will have to sit out, Tomas said.
“We will still need to do the MRI first then doon pa malalaman anong gagawin kay Rachel,” she said. “Kapag may punit, two weeks lang siya masa-sideline. Kapag wala, pwedeng active rest lang.”
