RACHEL Anne Daquis is bracing for a tough match as Cignal takes on No.4 Foton in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference knockout quarterfinals on Saturday at the Arena in San Juan City.

There is some pressure for Daquis to deliver big again after she scored 22 points in Cignal’s four-set win over Cocolife on Tuesday that earned them the No. 5 spot.

But Daquis said she doesn’t have to be the team’s top scorer.

They HD Spikers an underpowered Foton, with Arriane Layug sidelined due to a torn ACL and Shaya Adorador out indefinitely due to tooth infection, but Daquis said the Tornadoes remain a tough squad.

So kailangan namin paghandaan,” she said.

“Yun nga yung sabi ng coach namin, nawawala kami sa game dahil sa kagustuhan namin manalo nararattle kami imbes na dapat relaxed,” she said. “Sabi nga namin lahat tayo gustong manalo basta sa tamang puwesto dapat tayo, nasa tamang focus kasi sa sobrang gusto namin talagang lahat nag-aagawan na kami kasi ayaw namin bumagsak yung bola. Nanggigil kami.”
