PHILIPPINE Super Liga turned down the Cocolife’s protest on a crucial call in its match against Petron in Game One of the best-of-three semifinals.
The Asset Managers placed the match under the protest due to a rotation error committed by Petron setter Rhea Dimaculangan in the most crucial stretch of the match on Tuesday at The Arena in San Juan.
On Wednesday afternoon, PSL released a statement regarding the protest.
“The Philippine Superliga (PSL) has approved the recommendation of its technical committee to uphold the result of the protested first match of the best-of-three semifinal series between Petron and Cocolife,” said in a statement.
“The technical committee invokes the agreement that the referees’ decision is final. Therefore, the PSL turned down the protest.”
Game Two of the best-of-three semis is on Thursday.
